We have an employee with a seizure disorder. She has requested a seizure dog. What are the problems, laws, guidelines etc. for having the dog in the dialysis center?

Honey- I am legally blind with a guide dog. Can I bring my guide dog into a dialysis clinic so that I may find my way to the chair? Do you see my point? Are we running a dialysis clinic or a kennel?

If you were legally blind, I think the center would be in violation of ADA if you were prevented from bringing the dog. However, I am not a lawyer and that is why I have posted the question on this format hoping the moderator or someone with that expertise will respond.

Just to update. I did receive a response from Mary Rau-Foster.
The basics of the reply are:
1.This dog would be covered under ADA. The same applies if it were a patients service dog.
2. Establish guidelines for addressing "issues such keeping the dog clean, disease free and vaccinated, and the fact that the dog must not bark and disturb the other patients" or staff.
3. "Differentiate between having pets in the unit versus a service dog, authorized and directed by a physician."
4. "Get a note from her doctor indicating that the dog should be allowed to accompany her into the unit."
5. Additional resource:
US Department of Justice's toll-free number.
