LCSWs are hard to come by as we all know. Is anyone willing to share wording for a policy identifying what an LCSW needs to provide by way of oversight for renal MSWs to continue to function within their scope of service in the dialysis outpatient setting?

I don't know how many social workers in CA have the LCSW license so I can't comment on how available LCSWs are. However, the Council of Nephrology Social Workers has a number of resources. If you're not a member of CNSW, this organization has a wealth of information and support for social workers. You can find the materials they have to offer at www.kidney.org/professionals/CNSW/. CNSW is developing a Professional Advocacy Manual that will be free to members. You can call NKF to get your name on the list to receive this manual.
