I am currently on Medicare/ Medicaid. If I become a military dependent does that mean I will have to use military insurance? If so, does it cover my dialysis and medications 100%. Also, does it limit me to where I can get txs? I have had no problems with Medicare/Medicaid and am wondering if military coverage is harder to deal with?

There is also the question of should my military son and wife with whom I live be deployed overseas or Hawaii, are there dialysis units near the military bases? Does Medicare/Medicaid provide coverage to military dependents out of the country or would that fall under military coverage?

First have the active duty person contact DEERS and thay will assist you.As a military dependant you will be able to recieve your medications ,and at some military hospitals that have Dialysis facilities you can recieve treatments if you are hospitalized. Hope this helps
