We had a disruptive patient (kept yelling and trying to get out of her chair while attached with a catheter) who was transferred to another unit because she required too much intervention. How far do you have to go before transferring someone? Is there a set protocol, or is it up to each unit as to how much they're willing to put up with? (In this case, our nurses put up with a LOT-- until another patient's care suffered because so much time was spent with the disruptive patient.)
