I have found if I keep my dry weight high enough just slightly I do not cramp or crash in dialysis. The last several txs though I have felt a fullness in my chest yet if I lower my dry weight any more my bp will come down too low by the end of the tx. Any suggestions?

Denise:

Can you describe the fullness a little bit more? Do you notice it all the time, or only at night? How many pillows are you sleeping on? Is it there even after a treatment, or only on day 2 before you go for dialysis? Do you have any sinus congestion, or any other allergy symptoms going on right now? Have you been exercising more / less than normal for you?

If your chest fullness is actually tightness, that is accompanied by any pain whatsoever, especially pain that may radiate (even sporadically) down your left arm, you must IMMEDIATELY consult with your physician. In the same regard, even if this fullness is not accompanied by pain or tightness, and does not go away, please contact your doctor for further follow up.

Please keep us informed as to what the outcome is.

Best wishes,
Carol
