We have an elderly diabetic patient who is experiencing great discomfort and distress from abdominal bloating and flatulence while on the machine. She generally has to come off 2 to 3 times each treatment to go to the bathroom.
My colleagues say they have seen this before. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions to help her? I don't think acetate is an option for her.
