Is any one familar wit the Hemosphere Hero Cath. One of our Doctors are wanting to try it out. I would like to know if anyone is using this and are there any diferences or advantages to this new cath.

We are currently using them in about 20 patients.So far no complaints,no problems ,however there seems to be a lower flow (monitored with Transonic Monitor) but the KT/V and URR are are above the normal expected outcomes.

Since the tip goes into the heart like a catheter, instead of being sutured into the vein, like a graft, there should theoretically be less chance of venous stenosis and clotting.
