Hello and hope everyone is doing well.
I have a question. In other units, we had a rule that we could only give Hep B boosters only 1 hour predialysis, to avoid bruising and or 2 hours post dialysis. Preferably we were told to arrange patients on their non dialysis days, but we had little compliance of that.. Does anyone have this similar protocol or anything written that I may use in my unit. I have not been able to find something written and credible. My present unit, is looking at me like, I just fell off to another planet. Thanks.. Carla |

We give it post dialysis. There is no excessive bruising. heparin has a short half life. We have 70% of our patient's vaccinated. If you want compliance give it post.
