Conditions in the dialysis nursing field in South Florida are horrible. We are underpaid, expected to work 18-20 hour days, we recieve NO overtime, equipment is poorly maintained and travel time is excessive. I am considering starting a local nurisng agengy made up of disgruntled nurses, already employed by the two barons of dialysis here(Gambro and Davita). Any suggestions, advice or networking leads?

How is it that you do not deserve or receive overtime for hours worked???? This sounds like a labor issue. I truely feel for you and would never work for a company that demanded such tx of nurses! I am a travel dialysis nurse and love it. Want info? HN
