Can a person be "stuck" everytime they have hemodialysis if they do not have a fistula or temporary catheter, and don't want one? I have a friend who states she has hemo 2-3times a week and does not have a cath or fistula. Is it possible or has anyone seen this done?

There is a graft (similar to a fistula)...

Yes ... in the old days people with large cephalic veins could be cannulated that way.
