I am a home dialysis patient and give myself EPO by the venous line med port. I was told to do this about 1/2 hr. before the end of treatment.
I would prefer to do this at another time as I am no nocturnal dialysis and have to wake up early just to administer the EPO. I was told by 1 nurse the EPO was given 1/2 hr at the end of the dialysis in center just so they could keep track of who got their EPO. My question is does it make a difference what time the EPO is given as far as the benefits of the drug.
