Anyone ever hear of NANT or BONENT? As a PCT I was certified in '97. My experience is that only about 10% of the people in the field are serious enough about it to seek certification. The rest only want to get a paycheck and go home.

why would you need certification when someone off the street can do your job too. x-ray,psych,and mlt's have degrees. the most you can hope for is a diploma in dialysis tech that only pays .50 more an hour. that's just like saying i need certification to work at mcdonalds. anyone whose capable can do this type of work. it is just a waste of time. i came out of school with a diploma in this 10 yrs ago and now they are hiring people off the street to work. what is the difference, what kind of status are you looking for as a low life, hard working, take the low seat, bow to the nurse cause you are the tech that does not know anything tech?
anything
