I am a CCHT in the state of Maine. I work at an in hospital hemo dialysis unit. We, myself and a few other PCT's, have became CCHT's in the last 6 months. We were expecting a pay raise but have not seen anything yet. I was wondering if there were other CCHT's who could tell me what they make at there units and if there is a deference in pay for those who are CCHT and those who are not. I know asking what people make is not always cool but I need the info to go back to our unit manager so I can show her that others are getting rewarded for bettering themselves.

Been CHT 9 yrs. and also OCDT in Ohio. Since Ohio requires certification, most employers don't give you squat for your initials. Personal satifaction is our only reward.

Those of us who are certified with any of the 3 credentialers, Bonent, NNCC, or NNCO should take pride in knowing that we are the fore runners in our field, and see certification as the way to go.Any allied health professional except us are required to take a certification exam of some type. as far as the money increase ,it will come .

Techs are not the only ones who do not get a pay increase for certification. I am a CNN (certified nephrology nurse) and as one post said, personal satisfaction is my reward.
