Do you really need to recirculation system for 10 min after priming be 4 u put patient on? If it's a non reuse dialyzer

There are different methods of sterilization that the manufacturer uses that could cause a reaction in the patient. If you stop the priming procedure let us just say at 3 minutes you greatly increase the chance that there is some residual on the fibers that when coming into contact with the patients blood can cause inflammation among other things. If you did not prime all your dialyzers for 10 minutes you might not have any reactions that day but sooner or later someone will and that is why you rinse every dialyzer for 10 minutes, or whatever your unit decides. It is not worth even one patient having a reaction just to save time.
