We have 2 of them now, in our 9 station unit. We find them labor-intensive, because one has to check them often, but they have been very helpful with patients who are frequently hypotensive while carrying excess fluid. They also can show when a patient is recirculating and about to clot off a graft, by the distintive pattern. You may email me at lilrebpic@aol.com if you have any questions.

A better option is to contact Sheila Deziel @ sdezielhm@earthlink.net. She is a rep from Critline and she can give you a better view of the equipment. She is also the CNNT chair. I can tell you that I have used them for several years now and they do not take any additional time since as a care giver you are checking the vital signs every so often any how. This monitor will without a doubt improve the quality of life for your patients (when used correctly).

Does anyone routinely draw a blood sample and check the lab value against the Crit-line value? I am in an acute facility and this is in the policy and procedure, but I don't know of any other institution that does this.
