The simple answer to your question is no. Hemavision is built buy In-Line Diagnostics for incorporation into the Baxter (formerly Althin) dialysis machines. Therefore, Hemavision and the Crit-Line are brothers and use identical technology. These two devices measure the number of red blood cells in the volume of blood being tested. This measurement, called Hematocrit, shows how anemic the patient is. From this measurement, precise blood volume change is calculated.

In the FMC BVM device, Hematocrit is not measured. The blood volume change given is only a relative measurement to beginning blood volume when the patient was put on the machine at the start of the treatment.

As you can see, the combination of Hematocrit and Hematocrit derived, blood volume changes facilitates a more complete picture of the patient's physical condition and approach to dry weight. Hemavision and Crit-Line have this advantage.

Additionally to L barrett's response, only the Crit-Line monitors Oxygen Saturation, while allowing the clinician the benefit of doing access recirculation and access blood flow.
