ALOT OF THE GUYS THAT DIALYZE ON THE SAME SHIFT WITH ME COMPLAIN OF THE LOSS OF THEIR SEX DRIVE. THERE ARE FIVE YOUNG DIALYSIS PATIENTS IN THE AGES OF 25-31,THREE FEMALES AND TWO MALES. ONLY THE GUYS COMPLAIN OF SEX LOSS. THEY FILL IT'S BECAUSE OF DIALYSIS THAT THEY ARE GOING THROUGH THIS. THEY SAY AFTER THEIR TRANSPLANTS THEY WERE AT THERE BEST ALWAYS READY FOR ACTION. NOW SINCE THEY HAVE BEEN BACK ON DIALYSIS THEY COULD CARE LESS IF THEY EVER HAVE SEX AGAIN. IS THERE ANY MEDS. THEY CAN TAKE SOMETIMES THEY BECOME DEPRESSED OVER THIS.

Unfortunately lack of sex drive is not an uncommon thing with us poor old male dialysis patients. Someone told me it was related to the blood count being lower when your on dialysis. I guess that could be. Can dialysis patients take Viagra ?

Paulie thanks for your answer. The doctors where I dialyze do offere men the choice of Viagra. It depends on the age and if any other health problems exsist that would cause complications. Right now one of my friends are taking some kind of vitamin that he says has bought back some of his spark.
