Do former transplant patients who have taken prednisone do better than other patients when they return to dialysis? I am wondering if that's why I have done so well on hemo. I seem to have a LOT more energy than the other patients in my unit, and I am able to do just about anything after my treatments. Just wondered if there was a correlation.

I, too, after returning to dialysis from a transplant of 12 years with no rejection, seem to be stronger than other paitients in the ward. However, as a buddist and believing in controlling my own energy, I see and feel the difference in my energy level depending on my mind set for the day. Positive thinking does work and I often times have questioned the value of taking any of the transplant meds.
