This year it looks like none of our dialysis patients or staff will be able to get flu vaccine. THis is a big problem. Where else do we tell patients that have the flu that they must come in anyway. If one patient gets flu very quickly the whole unit will have it. Amanatdine prophylaxis is 200 mg per week for ESRD. Has anyone tried this? What side effects? Rimantidine also may help? How about Tamiflu?
