It is hard for me to believe that in this day of scientific technology we have not yet begun to accept human organ cloning as a available form of treatment, as well as a cure for many ailments. I am interested to know the opinions of others.

1. Organ cloning is NOT the ultimate goal for organ replacement, for the cloned organ is as prone to disease processes as the failed host organ.
2. Organ cloning will be a very expensive way of organ replacement. 3. I suggest we discuss more practical ways of renal replacement innovations, such as bioartificial renal tubules, biocompatible hemofilters, etc. Kaveh |

I know Dr Humes are certainly onto something with the bioartificial kidney. The proxim
al tubule device seems to be a concordant marriage of the biological and mechanic al as well as the progressive and traditional. I want to know why he did not use human proximal tubule cell lines. I knew that the cell line are easy to culture and expand. I also want to know why he did not use the pig proximal tubule cells which used in artificial liver now. |
