My 13 year old nephew is the size of an average 7 year old after two years of growth hormone shots. He has been peeing blood for the last year and the ultrasound of his kidneys showed no problems. He is going in for a biopsy soon. Super elevated protein levels. Any ideas? I'm so worried especially since I work in the dialysis community.

Hi:

Has consulting doc indicated what creatinine level is? That would be strong indicator of problems.

Kidney problems in childen can result in failure to grow at a normal rate.

Has your nephew been asked to reduce certain things from his diet, liike milk or other dairy products?

Michael
