In regards to the water treatment equipment, who is the person that decides what to purchase? Is it the doctor, administrator, biotech? Thanks for your input.

Hey DD,
Are you working for an independent or corporation? However, the medical director for the first, and technical director for the later. Furthermore, I have worked for a company that had a project manager that took care of that.
Goodluck with all your endeavors

I work for a water treatment company. We are doing some market research to help us determine who the proper contacts are, and what features are most important.
Usually the Technical Director if it's a larger outfit or the biomed tech if it's a smaller company. The Medical Director usually has a say in it if it's physician owned.

Independent clinic > biomed tech with approval from owner. Clinic with Chief Tech and ET, Chief Tech with approval from Manager. Or if, absence of Chief Tech, ET can do the purchasing with the knowledge and approval of the Chief Tech and Manager. If the purchase is of greater volume or amount, Technical Manager is consulted, and with his approval Chief Tech can proceed with the purchase. Sometime Area Manager has the say, too!!! Whoever has the username and password and the blessing to do the purchase can do it, again everything should be done with the knowledge and approval of the people concern. Good day!
