Why did Fresenius buy Liberty/RAI?

Seems to me most those units were previously spun off mandated by the govt that Davita didn't want in the first place. Won't they have to put a ton of money in those units?

lIBERTY was not a spin off of Davita.To answer your question MONEY.Dialysis patients are worth money..

But RAI was a product of Divesting after the RCG/FMC sale so since Liberty bought RAI, Fmc bought back divested units.

RAI was developed after Davita bought Gambro. The divested clinics from that sale became RAI.

Yes, KRU did sell to Davita
