A recently released study by two business analysts entitled, "Managing the Delivery of Dialysis Therapy: A Multiclass Fluid Model Analysis," states that an operations research model for dialysis centers could reduce the ESRD population mortality rate while containing budget costs.

The study is by Professor Stefanos Zenios, Graduate School of Business, Stanford University, and Prashant C. Fuloria, Closed Loop Solutions of Mountain View, California.

The study comes from the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences in Linthicum, Maryland.

The article appears in the October 2000 issue of Management Science journal.
