June 6, 2006 - A PowerPoint presentation, entitled Disaster Preparedness - Learning from Katrina, was given at a meeting of the Louisiana Disaster Coalition on June 2nd. The presentation was done by Ms. Linda Duval of ESRD Network 13 with contributions by others. This presentation was forwarded by Dr. Paul Miller.

Dr. Miller also says, "Some of the resource information for disasters may have been compiled from the aggregate work of the tireless efforts of many, including but not limited to the Louisiana Disaster Coalition, the national coalition "Kidney Community Emergency Response Coalition", CMS including Ms. Glenda Payne, Ms. Gina Clemmons and many more, networks and dialysis providers such as ESRD networks 13, 8,15, 7, and others (Glenda Harbert, Lisa Drossos, Kelly Mayo, etc), CDC, and a whole host of individuals and groups participating in the disaster efforts for kidney patients."
