Fresenius Medical Care North America announced a joint venture between FMC's Renal Research Institute (RRI) and the University of Michigan.

Here is the Renal Research Institute web site. The University of Michigan Nephrology Department is where Dr. David Humes is developing the Bioartificial Kidney that has been in the news lately.
