November 9, 2001 - Nephrology Analytical Services (NAS) was established in 1995 under the direction of Dr. Allan J. Collins, and is an affiliate of the Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation (MMRF). Using national data obtained from the Health Care Financing Administration (CMS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), they have constructed an extensive End Stage Renal Disease database which dates back to 1991 and contains demographic, medical, entitlement, and provider information.

The NAS web site has a new look.

The 2001 ASN presentations & posters are available for downloading. There are 27 NAS presentations and posters on a wide range of topics related to dialysis and nephrology. These were presented last month at the American Society of Nephrology Annual Conference in San Francisco.

There is a new feature called "Create a Table". You have choices of drop-down menus to create a table. This can be done with both general statistics or state specific statistics.
