I would also like to hear about this. I recently had to go back on hemo after six months on PD. I may not be able to go back on PD so would love to hear what you all have to say about it.

My father was never on PD but we switched from in center to NHHD. He improved tremendously and our lives are much more normal. Doing dialysis at night doesn't interfer as much as giving up so many daytime hrs to it. It is a great relief to be able to plan on doing things without considering rather or not it is a dialysis day.

Since I already do PD at home, it isn't that much of a problem. I just haven't talked to anyone who was on PD then switched to nocturnal hemo. Everyone so far was already on hemo, which I only did for about 2 weeks.
Other than having steam to get up and go, I feel good and my labs are good so I'm kind of looking for that real reason to switch. Am I going to feel even better, have steam etc if I do switch.
Thanks

My fathers energy increased alot. He no longer has days or hours lost to dialysis fatigue. He noticed the difference after 3 weeks of training. Our center will also confirm the snhd patients have more steam than their PD patients or in center patients.
