I started Dialysis about 1 year ago and really want to do home hemo but my center doesn't offer the program and can't find a center for me. Do other patients have this problem and does anyone understand why some patients have access to home hemo programs and others don't.

It just depends upon each dialysis unit. Most dialysis patients decide to do dialysis at a center. It is sometimes not cost effective to start or maintain a home dialysis department for 1 or 2 patients. Instead, a city or a company may have 1 or 2 centers that oversee the home patients.
You can ask your social worker for a list of home dialysis programs in your area. She/he will know what other business are in town.
There are many advantages to doing dialysis at home. But you should realise that it is a big responsibility. If you are ready to take on your own care fully, your home dialysis team will be there to make your transition successful.
Starting soon in the New England area will be a company offering specifically home hemo and eventually moving into nocturnal. Stay tuned. Everything said on this thread is true. Some units do and some don't even if they are the same company. ie. Fresenius, Gambro etc...
