Today Congress is acting on legislation that will directly affect ALL dialysis patients. You action is needed immediately to ensure that quality kidney care is preserved. The House Ways & Means Committee is considering The Children’s Health and Medicare Protection Act (CHAMP). This bill includes key provisions for End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) patients. The bill would provide for increased education in public and medical community awareness of Chronic Kidney Disease particularly in those who have or those who treat patients with the two leading causes of kidney disease hypertension and diabetes. In addition CHAMP would provide for education sessions for those with CKD IV who are covered by Medicare.
