well, I now have peritonitis and the culprit is yeast. I was hospitalized for 6dys and have been on antibiotics since. 2/that i injected into my bags and 2/orally. I'm done with the injections but still taking the other two. I must say that I have not felt my best, in fact, there are times that I feel awful. I'm taking diflucan and another antibiotic that I've never taken be4. My doc says that this new one is probably making me feel bad, so he cut the dosage. The diflucan only responded intermediatly, the other drug is the one that killed the yeast in the lab.
I hope it does the same inside me. If not, I'll have to loose my catheter for a while and have a temporary one put in for hemo. I started out on hemo(2mths) and I've been on pd for the rest of the time (2 1/2yrs)
I DO NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH THE PAIN OF A TEMPORARY CATH AND THEN HEMO..I'M SCARRED TO AND DEATH!
