are there events,parties or some type of forum where peritoneal dialysis patients meet
to socialize? I really feel that others like me can understand more about my lifestyle than none renal patients. not to say that there are no healthy people in my life-there are, but it's different somehow.

Have you heard of the American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP)? This is an organization of dialysis patients, like you, and would be a great support vehicle. You can reach them online at www.aakp.org or you can try www.kidneydirections.com . It is great that you are looking to network with others. I have attended AAKP meetings as a healthcare professional, and found them fun and uplifting for all of the attendees. There are local chapter meetings and an annual meeting once a year. I hope they can provide you with what you are looking for.

I found a forum before but when my roommate redid the computer I no longer can find it.

I want to eventually start up a web site with a forum for kidney patients because too want to meet people around the age of the younger generation with kidney problems.

Is there any known CANADIAN kidney forums???

I haven't been able to find any though search engines...

I have been looking for
Canadian Forums too. They are hard to find. Most of the info. is from the states. I am also a youngish patient... late 30's looking for other people going thru the same stuff. If you find any let me know. Thanx and good luck.
