Does anyone know what the ratio is supposed to be for Peritoneal nurse to patient ratio. Our PD department is also doing Nex Stage for the Home Hemo modality. Any suggesstions on staffing? Thanks

There are no set ratios for staffing PD patients. This varies from company to company and may be based on your PD patient census. I worked in a small facility and was took care of our PD patients and worked as Charge on the HD floor. My boss allowed me one hour per PD patient per month. This was a stretch since it took about that much time with each patient monthly. I learned to document as I did my assessments so I would basically be done when the patient left.
