I had my fistula created on May 5 this year. My neufrologist questioned its maturity at week 7 and I visited my surgeon to question maturity. He said " everything looked great". I started on needles at 90 days. When I moved to size 16 infiltration occurred. I had a venogram which indicated no problem except depth at the Venus level. Now I'm using the catheter again. I am a diabetic and my neufrologist says a diabetic should not have a fistula in his wrist. I'm confused and don't know what I should do next. Can you give me any advice?
