Dear Members,

Two patients with a history of Right Subclavian Catheterization more than 2 years for hemodialysis..

Nonfunctional catheters,
Suspicion of Septicemia, high fever !
Thrombosis of right subclavian, innominate veins and SVC for both patients including right atrial thrombosis in one of them.

Failure of previous attempts to pull-out the catheters ( including a surgery resulted in cutting the catheter on the entry side of subclavian vein ).

Both patients will be operated for the removal of catheters.

Comments, other cases reported in the english literaure, sources, articles and personal experience appreciated.

Kind regards.
