In the clinic I work for we return pt's blood at blood pump speed of 150. I disconnect arterial line, hook a 10cc syringe of ns to end of art needle line and flush the line. The arterial bloodline is hooked at the saline bag line and unclamped to run the saline to return blood to pt at a blood pump speed of 150.
