There have been many occurrences of the repaired ends of Ash/Split catheters loosening and becoming unscrewed at the acute hospital where I work, as well as at the chronic units we serve. Does anyone else use these repair kits? What are your experiences? We are considering replacing the whole catheter each time a repair is needed, due to the danger of the ends coming apart.
