Is anyone familar with and or using the Hemosphere Hero Cath. I would like to know if there are any particular differences as compared to the other caths or if there are any advantages.

We have one in our clinic. There are several large differences between this catheter and regular catheters. The biggest difference being that this is an internal catheter that is ran from the heart, down a portion of the arm to allow for cannulation with dialysis needles. This allows for higher blood flows(which means better clearance) and a much less chance of infection. My understanding is that it is an option for patients who have exhausted all other options.
