does a Rn need to learn how to cannulate? We have constant problem in our unit with RNs and techs running into trouble when they cannulate and seeming to not know what to do. When they are in training for this are they supposed to practice train on the patient or on a practice module? I have been hurt too many times to count and am afraid for my access continually. I've asked them to have an inservice and they just act like it's none of my business.They don't seem to care if they hurt patients or not. Is this a common problem?
