how can you tell if a pump head is bad ?

The obvious way is to check the flow physically. sometimes you can actually just hear it as well. You won't here the same noise as usual through it.

if you are only getting -20 vac at dac 255, and you replace the head and you get -24 at dac of 190 then your first head is bad Wink

How about indications for the flow pump head and flow motor

same as with the deairation, head if you cant achieve correct pressure assuming that everything else is working ok (flow press reg), at a realistic DAC (225 or less) then try a different head, as far as the motor goes, I have found that you replace the flow brushes at about 15, 000 hours Big Grin
