MJPC,

Would that not be the TMP/Blood leak detector?

In the old days (prior to hi flux dialyzers) you used to do a pressure test of the dialyzer by clamping the venous bloodline and building the pressure upt to 200-250 mmHg then turn the blood pump off. More than XX mmHg drop over XX seconds would potentially indicate broken fibers in the dialyzer. Doing a pressure test on a hi flux dialyzer is impossible.

All of these exams are in dire need of an update!
