Is there a standard on leakage current, grounding, that sort of thing. If so, Where can
I find it?

Electrical Leakage Requirements are noted in ANSI/AAMI RD5, under Electrical Safety Requirements. The standard (also noted) is: Complaince with the NON-ISOLATED patient connection requirements of SAFE CURRENT LIMITS FOR ELECTRICAL APPARATUS.
Good luck with all your endeavors

The standard is .5 ohm from power cord ground to device chassis. Leakage current is <300 uA's in patient care areas and < 500 uA's in non-patient care areas. A patient area is defined as within six feet of a patient. (logic being that a doctor or nurse could reach out from a device and touch a patient).
