Hello fellow techs. I had been asked before by a fellow technologist about how to repair a leaking flow indicator. I personally have disassembled the assembly but only hand tightened upon re-assembly. This was also with the old style flow indicators. The problem we face with the new ones is that you really can't use any tools (that I know of) in order to tighten it fully. I do not know if anyone has asked FUSA as to what they recommend or not.
Thanks for the help. |

I have not asked Fresenius about this, but what I used was a small pair of 4" vice grips to take the new style flow BOB apart. I've had to do that several times after the machine had a blood bath and cleaning was necessary. If you set the vice grips jaw width just right they don't squeeze too tight and won't ruin the threaded plastic caps on the inside of BOB.
