<Bicarb Jug boy>

Hello, i've read the past posts regarding disinfecting bicarbonate jugs, and wanted to ask a question. As a hospital based program with a central bicarbonate delivery system, we only use jugs for off unit "Acute" runs. Do you disinfect daily, weekly, or monthly. Do you disinfect BEFORE or AFTER use for weekly or monthly disinfection, I will assume rinsing between use and storing spout down unless otherwise stated. Thanks for your input.

Since the frequency of "acute" runs can be hit or miss, I would suggest disinfecting after each use and if the jug isn't used the next day, disinfect it again prior to use.

If you do not have to many off unit treatments I would buy liquid bicarb by the jug.
