I've got a K with about 3800 hrs. Just changed the diasafe, bleached & rinsed then ran the diasafe test. It failed x 3. Put another new diasafe in & went thru the same process & it keep's failing. Any ideas?

I would investigate the possibility of a hydraulic leak elsewhere in the system.

Check for a pinched valve cable at the distribution board or try a new valve.

Will the machine pass a pressure test? More than likely you will find it also fails neg pressure, look for leaks in the hydraulic system.

You say Diasafe. If you have Diasafe you will have four o rings and quuick connectors. You may have a leaking o ring??? Or the tubing to the connector may be loose???? Diasafe plus
is without o rings. Look for air in the sight glass on the blue dialysate line. Some tdimes these machines have a way of humbling us.

Check UF circuit for leaks and then calibrate UF volume. I had the same problem last week, turned out to be a leak in the UF circuit.

Check the Transducer by the diasafe filter. It's probably wet. This will cause failure of the test.

As Southerntec says, if the transducer is wet it will fail. If it is wet take it off, shake the water out and re-test. It should pass. The only thing I do not know is why it gets wet in the first place. Anybody know where you can get a copy of an explaination of the test?

Yes like our guest said The wires going to the valve seem to get pinched if your not careful when puttting the cover on. Check the wires where the cover and the case of the distribution board meet. If not, then the valve, then control and so on. easy fix

I too have found failing diasafe test can be a result of pinched wires in the distribution board.
