I just received an official letter from Fresenius that they are reducing the dextrose to 100 mg/dl and increasing magnesium to 1.0 mEq/L in NaturaLyte.
Is there any easy way to make these changes on a K machine, or do I have to delete and reenter every concentrate as new?

Anyone know the answer? I think you will need to reprogram. Will it make a difference? Will you need to redo all your electrolyte tests? Thanks

We just did the conversion in June- Yes, all the machines need to be deleted and reprogrammed. The way Fresenius had us do it, was we came in on a sunday, reprogrammed all of our machines, made the new granuflo, posted new granuflo signs, then fresenius had a required checklist that needed to be filled out. All the machines had to have conductivity and temp checked with a external meter, doubled checked by 2 MT's and the CM (they came in that day too). Then all machines had to have an electrolyte panel drawn. DR later then also signs the checklist and the electrolyte log for all machines. If you have some people to help and extra dummy chambers and external meters, it is not bad. If you are not prepared, it can be time taking.
