I understand that the testing of blood pressure devices for accuracy according to AAMI or other standards is voluntary for manufacturers.
Does anyone know whether the bp modules in Fresenius or Gambro equipment has been tested for accuracy by any standard protocol?

I have a fresenius 2008K machine and purchased a BP dummy device. You can check to see if your blood pressure module is within limits. You may purchase a Blood Pressure Dummy device from Fresenius. The machine is suppose to be tested by the technician that came and set up your machines. Hope this helps.

Chuck W - If you have the newer PAR module and the 4.0 software then it only needs to be done every 2 years. At least that is what the techs said when they installed our new Dialog + machines last August. That being said, I still do them annually because of problems I have had with the modules in the past.
