You know the drill. 2008H. Low flow/flow inlet in Dialysis. But, something I don't believe I've seen before, in heat disinfect gives "Flow Recirc Error 1". I've seen "Flow Recirc Error" but not this one. I'll list all the things I've done.

-Hooked up hydraulics to another machine to rule out boards in card cage.
-Checked/changed brushes in DA/Flow motors
-Changed DA/Flow pump heads
-Verified DA/Flow/Loading pressure
-Verified ohms on all valves
-Distribution board changed
-Changed CFS
-Changed Float switch
-Changed DA orfice o-rings

I'm sure there's a few things I did that I'm forgetting but I wanted some input on some odd experiences you've had in the past that may apply here. Been working on it all day and I'm getting a little frustrated. Thanks in advance for the assistance!!

Im just curious, and I don't mean to offend you because I don't know your experience level. It seems you are "parts swapping" and not really troubleshooting. Are you going through a series of logical tests and checks and coming to a conclusion on the problem? Or, are you just changing parts and seeing if it fixed the problem? Again, no offense meant, im just curious. Also, do you ever use the Fres Troubleshooting Guide? I've found it to be very valuable at times, but not always.

Lol. Yes, I've gone through the troubleshooting books and I've actually done 'troubleshooting'. The troubleshooting book seems to come to a dead end about half the times I've used it. I've checked my pressures that are pertinent to the problem (guess that includes all pressures). I've verified flow to the drain and it appears to be correct. I went through and physically tested the valves (two 9v batteries in series will open them) to verify they are in fact opening and that they do in fact hold pressure when their closed. I have yet to find a problem. Just doesn't make sense.

Matt,

Even though you ohm'd them out, try swapping the dialyze/bypass valve pair and if that dosn't do it, try the drain/recirc valves.

I had that happen to me once. It was because the pins on the air separator weren't down far enough. I know that sounds crazy, but it fixed it. Good luck.

Chuck... Ghaa... you hit the nail on the head. 24 was the problem. It ohmed out fine but occasionally... very occasionally, it would not open like it should. I checked it several times but there was a few times during heat disinfection that it would be getting voltage from the distribution board but would not open up. Then I ran it in dialysis and it did the same thing. I assumed (yeah I know what they say about assumptions )that since it was getting power and it was reading the correct resistance that everything was hunky dory. Guess I know to look harder next time. Thanks for the help, guys!!
