Just checking to see what everyone does....

When doing your cultures and LAL's on your bicarb mixer, where exactly do you draw your sample from?

1. The hose connection to the wall?
2. The tank itself?
3. Where it is dispenced from?
4. Somplace else?

We draw from the tank a sample port on the front of the tank and also on the transfer hose that is used to transfer the mix to the Supply.

we draw from the supply side going into the tank, the transfer line going over to the distribution tank and from the end of the bicarb loop going back to the distribution tank.

We take ours from the end of the Bicarb loop return, barrel and for water we take one post the SDS ultra filter.

My bad. I'm more interested in stand-alone mixers that are dispensed into jugs.

We sample mixer tank, holding tank, and the water to prepare bicarb once a month. (culture and LAL).

Chuck, If you're with Fresenius they require that you draw from the jug fill port on the initial rinse after disinfection.

Shouldn't if be drawn before disinfection?

WE'RE TAKING OUR SAMPLE FROM THE BICARB TRANSFER HOSE(BEFORE DISINFECTION)
WE ARE ALSO TESTING RANDOMLY OUR BICARB JUGS.
