Hey everyone

New to ozone, do you guys have a hard time gettin the right number? 1.62 i believe on your pocket colorimeter (chlorine)? and how long does it generally take to reach that lvl of ozone. Also do you guys use the "ozone" colorimeter? because we got the one that says "chlorine" I've noticed in the catalog there's one for ozone as well. Also what reading range do you guys have it on LR or HR? inputs and thoughts appreciated

When using the Chlorine colorimeter, let your sample sit for 2-3 minutes and multiply the reading on the display by .68 to get your ozone level. Make sure you are using the total chlorine dpd packets when testing. There is an ozone model colorimeter but the ampules aren't cheap by any means.

Just a thought - IBT makes Reagent Test Strips for Ozone. Detection ranges from 0.05 ppm - >0.5 ppm, or on an ORP meter 400 - >800.

Actually, with ozone there is no waiting period of 2-3 minutes as there is with clorine. I put the reagent in first with ozone, then add water.

Don't crank it up full load on the dial...start it at around 2 or 3 for a minute, THEN crank it up to 5 or 6. Sometimes as the crystals get older it helps to start slow.
